IQNA – An international Quran competition is going to be launched in Rwanda on Sunday.

Delegates from over 30 African countries have arrived in Rwanda’s capital Kigali for an international Quran contest

 

Delegates from over 30 African countries have arrived in Rwanda’s capital Kigali ahead of the contest.

The competition will be held at Gicumbi District Conference Centre, and Camp Kigali on April 21.

Quran recital competition is considered vital in promoting the universal message of peace through the Quran, and also aims to preserve Muslim culture and tradition.

This competition unites scholars, preachers, and Quran reciters from across the world.

Meanwhile, winners of the competition receive various cash awards and are also given certificates.

Organizers say the award motivates the younger generations to adhere to their religion and fulfill their responsibilities towards Islam, which is based on goodness, tolerance, and cohesion.
